AMANDA BEALE

Single Member District 8C08

Amanda Beale is the Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner for Single Member District 8C08. Amanda is a 4th generation Washingtonian with family roots in Southeast Washington, DC and  she is the daughter of a Jamaican immigrant. Amanda was educated in DC Public schools and received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Master of Arts in Counseling from the University of the District of Columbia. 

 

Amanda has over 20 years of customer service experience and is skilled at navigating the District Government. She has been involved in community service since she was teenager, including working with the city's incarcerated youth, leading protests against police brutality and violence within the community, and creating and leading an organization focused on quality of life issues for local neighborhoods.

Amanda is a licensed therapist and works for the District Government. She lives in Southeast with her husband and three sons.

KIM MARTIN

Single Member District 7C08

Kim Martin is the Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner for Single Member District 7C08. Kim is a third-generation Washingtonian. Kim grew up in Northeast and came to Ward 7 fourteen years ago to raise her son. Kim has worked as a budget analyst for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security for more than 15 years. Being involved in the community and connecting people with resources is one of her passions.

AMBER GOVE

Single Member District 6A04

Amber Gove, PhD is the Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner for Single Member District 6A04 and Chair of Advisory Neighborhood Commission 6A. NANDINI SEN

Single Member District 5B02

Nandini Sen is the Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner for Single Member District 5B02. A Brown, Queer immigrant and descendant of refugees and freedom fighters. An engineer and technologist by trade. And many other things by choice - including a wife and Mamma to Bodhi and Niam.

ERIN PALMER

Single Member District 4B02

Erin Palmer is the Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner for Single Member District 4B02. Erin has served as a Commissioner since 2019, including as Secretary of Advisory Neighborhood Commission 4B for four years and currently as Vice Chair. She is the Chair of Advisory Neighborhood Commission 4B's Housing Justice Committee - the first such committee of its kind - and previously served as Co-Chair of the Washington Area Bicyclist Association's ANC Vision Zero Caucus.

JANELL PAGATS

Single Member District 3C03

Janell Pagats is the Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner for Single Member District 3C03. Janell has served as a Commissioner since 2021, including as Vice Chair of Advisory Neighborhood Commission 3C and is currently the Chair. She stood up and Chaired the 3C Community Engagement and Grants committee in her first term. She is currently Co-Chairing the newly formed 3C Planning, Zoning, Housing, and Economic Development Committee.

TAMMY GORDON

Single Member District 3C08

Tammy Gordon is the Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner for Single Member District 3C08. As a resident of Cleveland Park for over a decade, Tammy is invested in building a stronger sense of community where we can live, work, and play. To Tammy, that means a vibrant Cleveland Park Main Street with exciting restaurants, coffee shop, and local businesses - especially those “third places” that create community. Tammy is a member of the DC Public Library Foundation Board, co-founder of WomenOf.Wine and an advisor to Black Wine Professionals. Tammy co-hosts a weekly podcast called The Moveable Feast about the best places to eat.

DASIA BANDY

Single Member District 2A07

Dasia Bandy is the Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner for Single Member District 2A07. Dasia is a current undergraduate student at George Washington University, studying journalism and international affairs. She is also a dedicated community builder (with thousands of hours of dedicated volunteer work) who has a deep passion for youth activism. Dasia wants to run for national office in the future, and she’s starting right here in her neighborhood of Foggy Bottom. Dasia will increase awareness and engagement with Advisory Neighborhood Commissioners and the community, building bridges between the George Washington University community and neighbors.

MUKTA GHORPADEY

Single Member District 1A07

Mukta Ghorpadey is the Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner for Single Member District 1A07, recently reelected for a second term. In her role, Mukta is a community advocate, amplifying the voices of her constituents and connecting them to the resources they need. Her focus is on affordable housing, employment, education, and violence prevention. She serves as her commission’s secretary and chairs the Community Events & Engagement Committee.

 

Outside of her work with the Commission, Mukta is the Director of National College and Career Services for Urban Alliance and has been working with young people for years, helping them succeed after high school by connecting them to employment, training, academic, and social service opportunities. Mukta is also a current board member for the National Youth Employment Coalition, a membership organization of practitioners across the country focused on improving employment outcomes for opportunity youth. Outside of her work with her community, Mukta spends time with her grumpy cat and monster of a kitten, boxes and swims, and dabbles in stand-up comedy and storytelling.

SABEL HARRIS

Single Member District 1B08

Sabel Harris is the Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner for Single Member District 1B08Sabel is a Vietnamese American, originally from Virginia Beach, Virginia. Sabel works at an education technology company, EVERFI, where she helps lead the efforts on their enterprise marketing team. Before EVERFI, Sable worked at a number of DC startups and technology companies where she built the marketing from the ground up. Sabel lives with her fiancé, Paul, and their dog Essie. You can find her around DC walking Essie, stopping for coffee, or shopping at the 14th St Farmers’ Market (when it’s in season). She also enjoys playing tennis and drinking wine at Cork.
