About the event
We're gathering women and nonbinary ANCs to share drinks and food - and collect donations for DC Safe to belatedly honor domestic violence awareness month. Join us at as you are. (500 8th Street, NW) on Thursday, November 30th starting at 6:00 p.m.
DC Safe (https://www.dcsafe.org/) is the only 24/7 crisis intervention agency for domestic violence in the Washington, DC. They have requested donations of the following: children's toys; toddler diapers (2T, 3T, 4T); women's underwear (all sizes); hair care items for textured hair; family size hygiene items (shower gel, lotion, deodorant); linens and towels; food gift cards (Harris Teeter, Trader Joe's, Giant, Safeway); and Smartrip cards. We're asking that donations be provided in a new or gently used tote bag, and that attendees wear purple.
